I put this in parenting but thought maybe it would be better here. She has just had a baby 10lb 2oz. Can anyone better this? My second one was 8lb 7oz and I thought she was big enough.

My cousins eldest was born at 11lb 7 oz, he is now 9 years old and 5ft 4in. He's a very big lad!!!

Apparently my Grandad was 17lbs at birth.

My Great Grandmother was 4ft 9". I'm guessing gestational diabeties was at work there as he was HUGE!!!!!

I had to look in the glass cabinet at my son's silver frame to be exact lol but he was 8lbs 14ozs and 23ins long, he was never a heavy baby in fact he is 6ft 4ins now and still only weighs just over 10st, and so he was never chubby, it must be the length of the bones i guess. His Dad was tall and very slim too , as was his maternal grandfather, 6ft 3ins in fact, I know my ex sister-in-law had an 11lb baby about 8 years ago, he didn't seem overly big at the time as they all look so small anyway and he is quite average now.
With a second or third baby they do seem to increase in size from discussions I have had over the years, you know, the one we all dread, a friend has just had a baby and the recounting of shared experiences comes out and then you start to really remember what it was like, because as is always said at the time, you forget the pain lol!!

10 lb 7 oz! That was my third child, a boy, and 29 years later he is nearly 6,4" and quite a hunk! Had him by caesarean, thankfully!

Guinness World Book Of Records shows the heaviest birth to have been 23 lbs 12 oz!!! OUCH!!!!!!! Bet she never had another one!

My great great grandmother had 22 children twice, the 22nd died and so she had one more after that. Actually 10 of the children did not survive to their teens as here was a flu epidemic.

my brother was 11lb 13oz and is now 6ft 6" aged 19

All I thought when I saw it was OW! she gave birth aturally whichI did with all my three boys but they were only 6lb 14
7 lb 13 1/2 and 7lb 11 that was bad enough.

My great uncle weighed 16lb 1/2 it doesnt bear thinking about squeezing a head that size out!!!

Good on her though for doing the natural and home birth approach with all these celbs opting for c sections these days choosing to pop the baby out around the next hair extension appointment......

My Godson was 12lbs 4ozs and his mum was 5'2". We all bought loads of sweet new born size baby clothes and he went straight into 3-6months size!

My ex sister in law had a baby at 39 weeks. He was 12lb . She did not have diabetes or out!!1 Im still shocked at davina though as she is so little!!! My own children were all big, a 37 week @ 8lb3 a 34 week@ 7lb and a 36 week @ 8lb!!!!!!!!!!!! Just think if i had done full time!! My god i would have needed relate!!!!
