Coincidentally, the radio stations I listen to here in Ontario are busy airing commercials similar to that. Actually, I think it should be "Shop Locally" not "Shop Local":)
I think "shop local" is the official terminology used on this side of the pond.
Pasta, we use "Shop Local" here too. I guess me wanting to say "Locally" is me being a bit of a pedant:)
my OH spends more time protesting at the closure of local businesses than in actually patronising them when they're still going. I suspect there's a lot of this about.
Shop local(ly) has become big in Ireland, Canary. Our Nearly New shop has been turned into the most beautiful local craft shop for Christmas. A huge success thanks to the efforts of one amazing woman.
We've been aware for a long time that we can't just rely on tourism to keep our buzzing village going so most of our shopping is done in the village.
That sounds, and in the pictures conjured up in my mind, looks fantastic, gness.
And of course we support the village pubs enthusiastically, Sanmac….. :-)
And the village pubs, especially those parts of them called bars, support you:)
Indeed they do, Sanmac. No indoor drinking so Sean built an outdoor bar which has been a great support.... ;-)
