Did you know, last month we lost an £100million F35B Lightning fighter jet?

It crashed into the Mediterranean after tumbling off the edge of HMS Queen Elizabeth's flight deck.

The pilot ejected and was found safe, but the state-of-the-art fighter jet languished at the bottom of the sea and has only recently been recovered.

Some debris blocked the intake. Sounds like it was built in haste. As this 100m must've been enough to pay for the jet and every conceivable problem that might occur.
andres - nets on the side wouldn't have helped in this case. The aircraft had insufficient power to take off; the pilot ejected at the top of the ramp and the aircraft fell into the sea.

Yes, an unfortunate accident, but *** happens.
^^ excrement
I blame the anti British.
strange things happen at sea. HMAS Sydney once, during the war, tried to shoot down Venus (which got away).
Not kept quiet at all, I think there was even a video doing the rounds of it falling off the ski jump. The word in the pub last night is that it's usually a fuel pump problem, and they're the guys who work on military aircraft.
Not that quiet, even I knew about it!!
Woman driver, I expect. (whatever they tell you lot)
Health & Safety mad, those Japanese aircraft carriers. Always have been.
