I'm not quite sure where to post this but I would be grateful for some help. It has been requested that I get someone a cd player for Christmas.

Any suggestions? I don't know where to start on knowing what would be a good one. Person it is going to likes good reproduction of sound.

What sort do you want? A personal CD player that is portable and needs headphones (think Walkman)?
A CD player to add to an existing hifi set up?
One with its own speakers but can be carried and run on batteries?
A mains powered player with its own speakers?
An external CD player that connects to a PC?

Amazon would be my recommendation LJ, for quality of sound there are a few, probably BOSE being one of the better ones, depends how much you want to spend x

A reasonable one. I thought about £100 should cover it.
