It was a really good afternoon. I did a quiz that everyone seemed to enjoy,
Then I organised a big raffle that went down well.
We had caterers do the food. They were brilliant. Far too much food. Ok we had ordered for 50 and about 44 turned up. They did 4 types of sandwiched, quiche. Cranberry and sausage rolls, prawn wraps, mince pies, drizzle cake and a choccy thing. All for £8.25 per person.
There was so much left over, we took stuff home. We ate it last night and tonight. Gave the birds the bread. Then the cats had the fillings.

Thank you Mamya, we had these caterers last year and they were superb then.
Caran. You have my admiration. You seem to do so much to give others a good time.....even the birds and cats! Gx
Well done, Caran. Glad it went well.

I do get pleasure from feeding the birds. Also the visiting cats I get. They are very friendly but I have to hold back a bit as they are not mine. I hold back a bit even though I could go ott.
Are you still getting deer visiting, Caran?
Question Author
Not any longer gness. We had a mass culling in the forest last year. 1500 deer went. So any that are left haven't got their elders to tell them of the mad woman up the hill with carrots.
We have cullings here, Caran....I miss the deer on the road to Killarney. Dave has just told me why they say they need to be culled....I disagree. Keep putting out the carrots, mad woman! They will come back.
