The sound track's pretty eclectic, but it's probably a David Holmes track (possibly "gritty shaker") you're thinking of as he wrote some new tracks for the film and put the rest of the retro stuff together. If you have a look on amazon.co.uk you can listen to clips from a few of the tracks. I heartily recommend the soundtrack album, its very good.
