Have autocorrect changed my archeologist spelling . I know its not the usual spelling but it firs the count

bob, Archaelogist has too many letters, alternative is Archeologist which has been a bone of contention as to why the setter would use an alternative.

It is really disappointing to see that archeologist is the answer despite an extra "a"being the normal spelling.It is a lazy response to say that although it is normally the American spelling it is not exclusively so. Whilst admitting that a number of people had put "egyptologist" this was dismissed as not fitting the clue which it clearly does which is why many people opted for it.
