The theme is Down on the Farm and, annoyingly, the number of letters is not supplied. All answers are one word unless otherwise stated. If people could help me with the last few I would be very grateful. Thank you.

9. Taking things into account it appears the skater is on dry land
16. Zero or dive - it means nothing. Fallow could be the answer here but it does not properly fit
18. A university drunk creates a level (playing) field (2 words)
27. Put in right good order - Idiot!
34. Claw, sedge or rock and a thousand are unwell. I think it is a kind of mill but what links claw, sedge and rock?
38. Hasten to reveal a common weed. Speedwell? Rush? Tare?

38. speedwell looks good.

Could it be 'sledge' in 34? claw, sledge and rock are all types of hammer, and a hammermill is used on a farm to mill grain for livestock.

16 Duck?
Sometimes quiz clues can be a little bit loose - and if 'sedge' is really sledge and if 'good' is redundant in 27 it might be worth considering these:

9 - BANKING ? (another word for 'hilling'/'earthing' potatoes) it almost works as a double defintion clue - 'taking things into account' and what a pond skater (insect) would be doing if it wasn't in the water.
18 - ROLLING HARROW ? (used to level a field) 'rolling' = drunk, but Harrow is a College or a University campus, not a University.

Worth a shot if nothing better comes along, BenCotto - good luck with it.

Ox Roller?
