Later And Later

I will have to get better sleep - I am going to bed later and later resulting in sleeping longer too and getting up with so much muscle ache.
I do believe to try and get in between the sheets around 11pm allows you to relax more. Anybody agree? But it has been nearly 2am.

Start relaxing around 8.00 p.m., snuggle down at 11.00 ish with a book, when your eyes are drooping, stop reading, put in your earphones and listen to a boring/soothing podcast that you have timed to finish in an hour or so. Works for me !
I'm just the same JJ! I am trying to put it right. I always have been a night owl, but it's getting ridiculous. And even when I get to bed I wake up frequently, sleep very lightly and every little sound wakes me. I end up getting a reasonable sleep from about 6.00am. All my aches and pains are much worse. But I really feel much better in all ways in the evening and half the night.
Sleep seems to be a problem for many older people, I think one of the main factors is lack of exercise during the day especially in the winter months when a lot have no choice but to stop in the warm house, then there's others who are less mobile anyhow. So all in all if you are sitting / resting all day its then very difficult to get off to sleep. You can only do so much hoovering and dusting :0)
