well yes, but the first time I was married and committed to my partner, so wouldn't go there! Many years later, when I was divorced and on my own again, I did meet someone who seemed very special but I didn't allow myself to go out with the guy, although he did ask several times. I had too much going on in my life and would not have had the time to devote to him, so thought it fairer not to start something, knowing he was keen on a relationship. Besides, my life was going through a very difficult phase and I didn't think it fair to drag him into it .

My second wife is my first wife's cousin and we met for the first time at my wedding to my frst wife. After we divorced (nothing to do with my second wife) I went to find her in London and we've now been together for 10 years.

What prompted you to ask this question fms? I often meet unsuitable b/f material - and im single ! Life is a BITCH. Life is full of things we want but cannot have, no matter what, but are things that impossible ? I was told there is no such thing as 'can't'......hmmmmm - depends how bad one wants something.

Yes-everytime i meet a girl i like, she doesnt like me back, hence circumstances dont allow us to get together.

Yep - 4x in the last 10 years.

- First one already had a b/f and admittidly I wouldn't have left someone for me either, but I tried. And yes, that is a bit bad I know trying to pinch someone elses g/f.

- Second one was 6 months of fun, but she was married and although the marriage was pretty much ended that came to a crashing halt due to a previous affair before we could really plan properly. OK, one way ticket to hell please. ;-)

- Third one became a very good friend, but it was between me and a guy she met on the same day. One of his advantages was he wasn't 3200 miles away so you can guess who won that one.

- Forth one is concluding currently and ain't looking good. Only a few hundred miles away this time and no b/f but has a kid so causing complications and neither of us wanting to cause the kid any confusion.

- 5th time lucky...? Anyone want a 30 year old geek? :-)
