I know a few people who refuse to be vaccinated and I doubt a knock at the door will change that. There is no point in trying to persuade them. One of my mates said that her brother couldn't spend Christmas day with her as he and his family had covid despite having been triple jabbed. I tried to explain that vaccinated people can still get covid but they are less...

can you answer the question spicerack or roy ... do you accept or deny that your figures or others that on average an unvaxxed is more likely to be seriously ill with covid than a vaxxed person???

I haven't made any claims along those lines anyway, so not sure why you have even asked, Einstein.
Looking forward to a knock at the door and then I can face them with poor OH and his still extant rash and shake their certainties.
bobbinwales//Found that the Gov. is indeed using falsified data to push an agenda.//
'Are you gonna tell us what this agenda is.'

Sure. They want everyone to be vaccinated. I must say, I'm surprised you weren't aware of that, Bobbin.

//can you answer the question spicerack or roy//

Don't you mean Tweedledee or Tweedledum? (And, more importantly, how do you know what I look like?

///... do you accept or deny that your figures or others that on average an unvaxxed is more likely to be seriously ill with covid than a vaxxed person???///

Neither, really. I haven't got any honest figures to base anything on.
When I was following what I thought were honest figures from NHE, they consistently said about 30% of Covid deaths/hospitalisations were unvaccinated. At the same time I was vaguely aware that only 20% of the total population were unvaccinated.
Which would suggest you were better off, at least in the short term, being vaccinated.
Pity they didn't keep using honest figures and you could have checked which way the %s were moving. (or staying the same)
But you're moving goalposts again. You claim that 80% of Covid patients are unvaccinated. (90% when the spirit moves you)
Then based on that lie, and it is a lie, you make accusations and issue threats.
I'm not Anti-Vax. And I'm certainly not qualified or arrogant enough to dish out medical advice (unlike the pro-vax lobby, I might add)
I just can't let blatant lies and liars go unchallenged.
It seems a good idea for those who cannot get to a vaccination centre, but some anti vaxers may give out some door step abuse.
Spicerack

Sigh

Read the data and the links again
I am not claiming anything
I am providing the information from the following :
The links and the data with empirical evidence and anecdotal examples from healthcare professionals show that anywhere between 80 and 90 percent OF THE PATIENTS ON ITU AND/OR REQUIRED ECMO IN THOSE AREAS are unvaccinated

Is that plain enough for you ?
//But you're moving goalposts again. You claim that 80% of Covid patients are unvaccinated. (90% when the spirit moves you)

Calm down Specerack. You seem fixated by something.

When have I claimed 80% or 90% were unvaxxed??? I think its probly lower than both those. In fact Ive said before if you care to check that I thought it must be less than that. I've just reported that thats what the professionals on the front line are saying. Maybe there right, maybe there too close to it and feeling emotional and exaggerating without realising or maybe to make a point and encourage us to help us and them by getting vaccinated...

And are you really saying I've issued threats?

Any calculations or predictions which depend on the calculating the proportion of the population who have had something or caught something are utterly useless. Nobody - including all those in government - has any idea, even to the nearest million, how many people are living in the UK. I would suggest that if they can estimate that number to the nearest five million they have done well. And that means that any calculations or predictions can be +/- 7.5% adrift.
When it comes to uptake, Public Health Wales use the number registered with NHS Wales rather than the estimated population.
Yes you are right Corbyloon

Interesting data from the Welsh today

Dr Giri Shankar, Professional Lead for Health Protection at Public Health Wales said “We do have certain age groups here in Wales, particularly the 20 to 29-year-olds, where the percentage positivity is nearly 50% – one in two tests coming back positive.”

Waiting to see if we have similar figures in England
Boris is conspicuous by his absence atm
