Re: our recent conversation about the Mary Poppins films. I watched 'Saving Mr Banks' yesterday. What an absolutely delightful movie. Just lovely - and superb casting with Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson both perfect for the roles. Thank you so much for telling me about it.

It is a lovely film, it managed to avoid over sentimentality which was a trap it could so easily have fallen into.

I've never seen it but I have watched a Trailer and it looks like a lovely movie. I might buy it on DVD.

I watched No Time To Die last year and I was really disappointed. It was not at all Bond-like and I couldn't believe the ending. Looks like the franchise is getting all woke and is now paving the way for a new central character who ticks a lot of the diversity boxes. RIP to THE greatest movie franchise ever :-(

LCG, I watched it on Sky for £2.79. It's a lovely film but not one I would watch over and over again.
