'Ignorant' runner accused of causing seal stampede

A wildlife group has released footage of a runner causing a "severe stampede" of more than 100 seals in North Yorkshire.
The incident was recorded near Robin Hood's Bay on 6 January and shared by volunteer organisation The Yorkshire Seal Group.
A spokesman for the group said the man ignored the advice of seal stewards at the scene and moved towards the animals "with haste" causing them to stampede.
The spokesman added: "This level of disregard and lack of ocean literacy undoubtedly caused numerous injuries to the fleeing seals and may take the life of some of our pups who have suffered horrendous mortality rates following Storm Arwen already."

There are indeed, Pat. I know that area well. All those routes also avoid going into the sea.... ;-)
/// Man was the worst thing that ever happened to this planet. ///

Then Woman came along.
In Cape Town they call the harbour seals “Rottweilers in wetsuits”. They are not cute and they will chase you and attack.
Then Woman came along....and put things right, Canary. :-)
The first video of this I saw of this was longer and he can be seen running towards the seals which is when they set off fleeing. He is reported to have told the seal steward who had pointed out a different route to him that he wasn't interested in their welfare and to f off. Nice man.
