Did You Know?....The Tallest Man In History...

....was Robert Pershing Wadlow, he reached 8ft 11 and weighed 199kg at his death aged only 22. He continued to grow due to hypertrophy of his Pituitary gland which puts out a lot of HGH and basically continues to do so when normally it would stop. Today it would be a relatively simple issue to resolve.

Back in the 50's when i was a kid, there was a guy lived near us who was 7' 4". Everyone called him Tiny. Not the tallest man for sure but unusual though. My nephew was 6' 10" at the age of 12. His mum had no end of trouble finding clothes for him, not to mention footwear. He's in his mid-30's now and 7' 1".
the tallest Dutchman was Albert Johan Kramer, who was probably just under 8ft tall. His brother in law was said to be 2ft 3in. They did a variety act. I'm not sure there wasn't some over or underestimating going on, though.
