Can a person sitting in Kuwait do trading i.e. buy an item from China & sell it in Brazil using internet?
6 Answers
I want to venture into trading at international level i.e. act as a middle man between an international buyer and a seller. Say, I'm in Kuwait. Can I know as to what all is being sold by companies in China? Can I also know what all is required by buyers in another country say Brazil? Can I fulfil the demands of buyers and seller in these two countries using internet and earn my commission. Is it possible? Has somebody done it successfully? If so, how? Say, China makes paper and it's damn cheap over there. Some body has a demand for paper in Brazil. Can I get a quote from China and add my commission or service charges and supply the paper to Brazil at a price slightly higher than price quoted by China? Is there any website facilitating this process free of cost? Is it in Europe, USA, China or elsewhere? I will be obliged for the information.
Thanks and regards,

What service would you be supplying? if it was just finding somebody with a quick google search I think you'd be pretty lucky to get anything and get cut out of the loop pretty quickly.
If you can translate languages and speed up customs then you might have a chance

I agree with jake-the-peg, the internet is bigger than what we think it is, most people only use it for general everyday information that we may use, or not, but we have the information. But trading on the internet is another world you can do what you like, provided you keep within the laws of all in question, including different goverment regs. You can also specialise in a few niche products that, if marketed thru the right gateways, will make you alot of money, without even touching or seeing the products. Do your research on what you think you would like to do, then do google/keysearches etc, and if you think its worth while, go ahead and set your website/s up, generate the traffic to your website/s and enjoy the fruits.
Im really grateful to Jake-the-peg and InfiniteArc for their replies. Jake-the-peg says: what comes easy to me, but harder to others? I may subit here that therere companies in the same country and in the same city who do not know as to who is making what? Due to this ignorance, they are purchasing the required items from abroad at much higher rates through foreign exchange! All businessmen do not use internet; or we may say that they arent even computer literate! Hence they cant explore the market. So, theres a possibility that a trader, through internet, could connect a buyer and a seller and earn his commission or profit.
Regarding comments by InfiniteArc, he says: You can also specialize in a few niche products that, if marketed thru the right gateways, will make you a lot of money, without even touching or seeing the products. Do your research on what you think you would like to do, then do google / key searches etc, and if you think its worth while, go ahead and set your website/s up, generate the traffic to your website/s and enjoy the fruits. Though he has been quite elaborate, still I would request him to give some specific example. Has he or any one of his friends ventured into online trading and earned some money? Hes 100 % right when he says: You can also specialize in a few niche products that, if marketed thru the right gateways, will make you a lot of money, without even touching or seeing the products.
Could he elaborate as to which are the right gateways? Id be obliged to both of them for their replies. Thanks and regards,
AAK

There are many questions in your reply, but I am not sure what it is your actually looking for, is it an existing Website that links a buyer with a sellar? or are your looking for some contacts in the middleman type internet marketing?
similar to this page, if you look on the right side of this screen you will see google adds, linked the subject we are discussing, if you happened to click your mouse on one that took your interest. Ab and google would make money. now multiple this by say 100 clicks per day and you can start to see some money.
I hope this helps

There are sites that give you access to products throughout certain countries. To spread their names on a site like this may give access to individuals such as yourself creating even more competition than already exists.
You would have to understand international trade and terms in export/import more than currently, so you would need to study these(e.g. bill of lading,F.O.B. etc) or else you could suffer extreme financial penalties on particular deals that go wrong. Or foolhardy companies, of which there are few who can survive in todays business climate, who have fronted money for goods may lose teir proverbial shirts on your deals.
For example- cherries brought from turkey to uk.All monies paid over when loaded on ship. Cherries filled with cherry worm on arrival in uk. Now what.!
Nobody is going to part with loads-a-money to an inexperienced person easily. Who would eventually give you the commission cash? the buyer? the seller? when?
Trading without any responsibility on your part would be difficult to pull off. Think a deal through imagining an actual product ,mentally stopping along the way as the goods are being ferried around in trucks, ships, planes, offloaded on docks and the points at which the cash bank transfers are being made and you should percieve that your thinking is far too simplistic on the matter.
Getting in between may be more of a squeeze than you think!

However, advertising and selling a product is a different proposition. Then the PUBLIC can send you cheques allowing 28 days for delivery and the suppliers can send out the goods direct to the customer without you seeing the goods or customer in any way. They then bill you on account or draw down from an account arrangement.
Cheques simply drop on your doormat daily and you effortlessly download a daily weekly order sheet to your suppliers.
Goods must be small such as torches or batteries and the supplier must have the facility to carefully wrap and despatch small orders on your behalf.
If you have enough types of goods to give you large order volumes, the price to you goes down and you then holiday in the caribbean sending instructions to the relative you left in charge from your mobile on the sunny sandy beach
good luck
