Covid 19 Close Contact Just Been Notified
3 Answers
Hi there. I am not sure if I have anything to be worried about. I got an email tonight from the leadership of the church I go to occasionally. I was there on Sunday and this email said a person directly in front of me has tested positive for covid. I sanitised my hands on arriving and leaving, wore a mask throughout the service and did not speak to the person. The people in the rows in front and behind him have been notified as they may have been in close contact for 15 minutes the service was 1 hour. This news has unnerved me slightly. I took an LFT 1 hour ago which was negative. Not sure what the incubation period would be ?

So, as your notification didn't come from Test and Protect, you can carry on as normal (but possibly voluntarily carry out a few more lateral flow tests over the next few days if you're concerned about either your own health or the possibility of passing Covid onto others).
