You might get away with it at the marina end of the promenade car park. So quiet up there. But exposed so might be a bit cold though, is it worth the risk to save a few quid?

Agree with Rowan. Find yourself a cheap hotel or B&B as its too cold to sleep in your car.

The safest and warmest place to park would be a residential street where people park on the road. You’ll be one of many cars and most likely to go unnoticed. Stay half a mile from the seafront to avoid the permit parking.

You say you are 'moving' to Brighton, sorry, I'm a bit confused. Maybe I've missed earlier posts. Are you driving around the country and writing about it? Otherwise, wouldn't you have somewhere to go to?
I certainly wouldn't think about sleeping and living in the care at the moment. Hope locals can help you.
