Yucca Plant Problem

I am following instructions as to not over watering, sporadic cleaning of the leaves etc but my yucca is still wilting, even though there is sign of new growth. the leaves are thin and fragile - a bit like velvet! Please help as I desperately want to try and keep her alive.
