The small claims court is the low-hassle way to take legal action for up to £10,000 against a firm or individual in the UK.
for this amount of loo-loo I would use a lawyer to be honest.
you are in the high court
and if you are at the stage of " I need to know what an intent to sue letter is" you should pay for advice

You really must be sure that you have done everything necessary before sending a letter before action, the court will need to know that you have exhausted all your options before starting proceedings.
There are many templates available online but it is pointless posting links as we don't know if you are in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland nor whether you are an individual or business trying to recover monies from an individual or business.
