I don't know how old you are, but the ONE will turn up, you have to believe and be patient. Probably when you least expect it and you look your worst. They could even be someone you are already friendly with and suddenly sparks fly.

Happened for me Henrietta after 2 false starts. He was lodging with my cousin and her husband and I'd just had a bad breakup We've been together over 30 years now and it was certainly unexpected Keep the faith and it will happen :-)

i believe that the right person is destined to come to you at a pre-set time that is already ordained................. what you do until that date arrives is irrelevant to the outcome is will only happen when it is meant to happen. You can go out and be social, you can stay in and be a hermit but that person WILL meet you when they are destined to do so.

In the meantime you can live life to the full and have fun or you can angst about not being fulfilled because that person is not in your life yet..........as above it is your choice which path you chose but neither will change the immutable fact that you will meet them only when you are meant to.

You havent failed, you havent done anything wrong you just havent met them yet !!!

Enjoy life, dont think that you are less because of not having a partner and when it is meant, you will !! Good luck Pxx

Just stumbled upon this thread when browsing through answers to previous Q's based on Love and Dating and such.

I'm really down at the moment due to another failed bid at romance/love. It just never seems to work out for me.

I absolutely love Happyone2's response. I almost feel like I can get off my internal 'hamster wheel' of waiting for the 'one'. If I could frame that paragraph and read it daily, it might just help me to deal with my broken heart.
