I am not a hoarder - I clear out pretty often but am reluctant to throw papers out - you know insurance, manuals for various gadgets - they just gather up.
How do you the rest of you manage. I mean there was a time I needed to look for a certain paperwork last year about something that happened about 6 years ago. Things like that.
My friend who passed away last August must take the hoarder crown, we can’t put her house up for sale as we’re still clearing her ‘stash ‘ a hoover that must be at least 30 yrs old ( broken) paperwork dating back to 1964, suit carriers that are brand new , multiple hard shell lap top cases ( she never had one!) to name but a fraction
That's funny I've just completed a clear out. Its taken 3 hours, I now feel cleansed, tidy, and orderly. Will now be able to relax until in the morning when I will be head first in the bin outside looking for something I think I must have chucked.
My place isn't too bad. Only thing is there are couple of big cupboards that I haven't even opened for a couple of years but if I try to clear them out I will find that I really need to keep 90% of the stuff that's in there!!!!!
I keep manuals for gadgets that I still use. Any manuals for gadgets that I don't have are thrown out. The same applies to insurance papers: if the insurance doesn't apply any more, out they go. Papers that I keep are filed in appropriate file drawers/envelope files, so that I can find them (fairly) quickly.
