Just to let people know as these afternoon dramas are so easily missed. There has been some excellent ones including Father Brown, The Coroner, Land Girls and WPC 56 (and a few that didn't float my boat).
I am looking forward to the new drama starting this Monday, Hope Street - a police detective series set in Northern Ireland. It's already available on iPlayer, I believe it has aired in Northern Ireland.
I hate to give you bad news Barry but after two episodes I couldn't watch it. It bored me but then again I don't like crime thingmajiggies.
By the way a lot of stuff takes place in a pub called Pier 33 (I think). They have changed the name for the drama. I stayed there some years ago. It is Donaghadee a little place a good few miles outside Belfast.
I think that bar/restaurant was/is Pier 39
was last there (Ulster Bus Day Tour) in 2019.
Loved Donaghadee, have happy childhood memories from
the early 50's of time spent there.
I saw a tiny clip of it there last night was it, and there was a girl talking to a policeman when there was a bit of a ruction, the girl was Rachel Tucker who was one of the ones singing for Andrew Lloyd Webber for The Wizard of Oz. Not important - just a wee tit-bit.
Ellie - I'm not a detective person and it has gone on for quite a while.
But you know I just love all of the cast and the comedy Two Doors Down - it's the only time I laugh heartily - I love it. Also the script writers have to be commended. Brilliant all around at Two Doors Down
Barry funny you say that - when my sister heard I was enjoying two doors down - she mentioned that - must look out for that. where would that be bbciplayer?
