We do too Zyla. We like to get up to Dawlish Warren and down to Brixham and Dartmouth for day trips from there. We like to nip down to the the Hams as well particularly the miles of beach at Slapton and even a trip over to Salcombe. Sadly we now give Tourquay and Paington a swerve. I have been going to Cornwall for about 55 years with the odd stay in Devon but fell out of love with it a bit last year.
Going to Salou this year for a change. Never been there before but will give me a chance to use my Spanish again. Can't do long trips these days but couple of hours should be alright.
// At the harbour in Brixham is a lovely fish place called Claws.//
We have sat on the dock there with a large Sauvignon Blanc with Scallops for me and Lobster for"she who must be obeyed". Wonderful place to sit out on a hot sunny day. Is that your "shed" that they operate from? :))
There is a cracking bakery in Dawlish too, opposite the little stream that runs through. We like a cuppa and a sit out if we have been walking along Dawlish Warren or coastal path.
We have also been to the resaurant, upstairs, opposite there looking over the harbour. I think it was Crusoe's. Good fish n chips and a good window seat was enjoyable. The fish was landed on the quay only hours before.
I think they deserve to make a good living Shedman.( I know you do as well) Hard work and a lot of preparation and skill goes into it. They are on site as the sun comes up and on the dock when the trawlers come in. We watched them do the daily wash down after a day of service and they are meticulous.
