Emmie...don't know if you saw my message on the GMEB thread yesterday, but you may be able to get a kindle app for your laptop.

thanks for the help, but currently i don't want an app or kindle - i like real books, and currently am into Daphne Du Maurier, i read two of hers and want to get the next few. Abe books seems to have second hand one so might try there, but will see the link you posted and as said ta muchly.
I’ve been getting a daily email from bookbub for years, had some great free books, some rubbish ones too.
I download my quota of free books from libraries, too. Fabulous service

Emmie, try World of Books. They are mentioned in the link if you read that, and also sell via Amazon and eBay. Cheaper on eBay. Very good prices and quick posting.
I like physical books also...but I like being able to change the font size better for some books!
come on, emmie, you know you want to be an influencer!
bought a copy through e bay, second hand but that doesn't matter.
