Why Might Guy Have Not Messaged Me Back?

I asked this guy on Tuesday if he is working Thursday i see he read the message but not replied although he done this before he had replied by now. He said I didn't make an effort which I didn't realise or cba at the time and now he ignoring me or making excuses

As I've written many, many times before here on AB, texting is a totally pathetic and wholly inappropriate way to try conducting any sort of a relationship. That thing you're using to send texts is called a smartPHONE because it can make PHONE calls!

Do NOT text the guy (and, if he shows interest in you, make it a rule NEVER to do so in future unless it's a really simple question, such as "What time did you say that you'd be coming round here this evening?"). Always PHONE him instead.

With PHONE calls, you can pick up on the tone of the other person's voice. With PHONE calls, you can interrupt as soon as you don't understand anything. With PHONE calls, you can express your thoughts and emotions freely, without them being misunderstood by the other person. NONE of that is possible with texts!

If he didn't reply it is because he does not want to reply. You cannot make him want to reply. Leave it and see what happens.

My phone will tell me a text has been delivered, doesn't mean it's been opened or read.
If he's ignoring you or making excuses, move on and consider yourself lucky. (imo)
