My husband was born in Bury, when we went to visit my mother and father in law the market was always worth a visit if only for the black pudding

Oh yes, I have been there many a time - Black Puding from there are the tops.

Regular coach trips arrive. The outdoor market is reet grand!
Indoors not quite so good but there is the Millgate shopping centre if the weather is inclement.

As a kid we lived in Radcliffe, the town next to Bury. Saturday afternoons were major shopping expeditions to Bury market, you could get everything there.
Our treat was a bag of baby potatoes (cooked over an open wood fire) with plenty of salt - delicious!
Latterly, when I was standing the local markets, I did Bury for three Saturdays - only market where I lost money!!

Great little town , though. I hope they get their football club back, we used to follow them home and away for about 5 seasons.
