It’s painless, no bleeding or irritation at all about half the size of a pea, skin coloured. Would say I probably noticed it about 3 months ago.. May have gotten slightly bigger in that time. No change in bowel movements etc. Any ideas? Thank heavens this is anonymous. Haha

Quite likely to be something innocuous, skin is prone to lumps and bumps - however, it is worth getting it looked at.
if it's getting bigger I'd definitely be seeing a doctor about it, painless or not. Such remote parts of the body aren't susceptible to easy self-examination.
Probably piles. Haemorrhoids.
Piles (haemorrhoids) are lumps inside and around your bottom (anus). They often get better on their own after a few days.

I like the answer of Mamya 01.37,sounds like a simple cyst.

For me, it has none of the characteristics of a pile (haemorrhoids)

Probably a personal skin tag or benign cyst.

No big deal....see your G.P at your convenience.
And allow your GP to inspect your posterior ;-/
For "personal " read PERI-ANAL.
Skin tag ?

Thank you, it’s taken my mind off it a lot. I’ll get it checked out soon. Could also add that I can pinch it between 2 fingers and pull it away and can feel a perfect sphere under the skin.. but it doesn’t move around..

Thanks again
Thanks Ellie, my opinion remains unchanged.
