I'm wondering when constructing a large building (About the size that you would need a crane) is it normal to put sand or some other material down on grass for the construction equipment to drive on?
a lorry driver probably wouldnt drive on anything that he could get bogged in, so even grass with sand if it was wet wouldnt be good, they would usually expect 1" + gravel and might refuse to drive onto it without that
you'll need a descent ground this time of year...most sites do a n initial road dig putting down a base layer, then a sheet of something to stop the mud oozing through...I think it's called teramo then another layer of what we call 803...it will be clean, dry and free from mud during the whole build hopefully
