The Met Police Federation has declared it has "no faith" in Sadiq Khan after the "very public ousting" of Dame Cressida Dick as commissioner.
She resigned from the role on Thursday over the mayor of London's lack of confidence in her plans for reform.

Tbf I cannot see how they have any justification for this
No fan of Khan but he had to start to set right the wrongs that had become far too prevalent under her command
Surely ?

"So why would I publicly declare on this site that I prefer a conservative or Conservative led government over a labour one ?" - you tell me, your words say it but your constant barrage of carp says otherwise.

Lol
Because the clown in your avatar image needs to be held to account for his actions
Everyone knows it
That is why there are so many rank and file Tories who have turned against him
Not to mention his own colleagues in parliament
That is why he is the subject of an enquiry by a senior civil servant and also one by the Met police
You are surely aware of the magnitude of all these events ?
I have to ask because a daily reality check is now a prerequisite when in debate with the BOBs

I find it unsettling that a man who was voted Mayor, only in the role for six years, can, after given Cressida Dick weeks to get something sorted; arrange to put her in a position that she feels compelled to resign in less than twenty four hours. Doesn't serving in the police force for forty years count for anything? Being the mayor he should be part of the solution, working in partnership with the police not continually criticising, he is ultimately responsible for the policing of London. Did the buck stop in the right place?
1. Policing is a very difficult, dangerous and demanding job.
2. London is the largest city in the UK.
3. The Met has always had a problem with recruitment and has adjusted the entry requirements *downwards* over decades in order to achieve sufficient numbers of officers.
4. Most...many...all ? of the senior ranks learned their Policing on flip-charts in Universities rather than on patrol in the city and suburbs.
5. Political meddling by many flavours of Govt. has seen numbers rise and fall and rise and fall.
6. Having looked at the likely candidates who will replace Dame Cressida, none fill me with any hope that they will shake the Met firmly by the neck and give us the Police Force/Service that the capital city deserves.

Seems to be a part of the job for a London Mayor

Bobbi, Khan has no responsibility for crime-fighting (unlike the mayors of Metropolis, Gotham City, New York and other comic-book towns): he can tell the commissioner what he wants done but can't make him/her do it. He said he had no faith in her any more, but that's all he can do: she didn't have to quit if she didn't want to.
Cressida's resignation went to Priti Patel, not him. The Met loved her because she came up through their ranks and forgave all their sins. Khan seems to think the duty of the police is to protect the public, not each other. I agree with him. Fighting crime is their job, not the mayor's .
