Attaching Blinds To Thin Plaster.

Our steel lintels don’t have enough plaster on them to allow anything but short screws to be used when fitting roller blinds, hence the blinds are liable to fall, pulling out the screws/very short rawl plugs. Any tips to strengthen the grip the brackets need (without drilling the lintels)?

Stick a strip of battening across where your blind is to go with No More Nails or similar, then screw in to that after painting it.
