I believe there is a club on the pier [or near it], we go to Eastbourne every Nov and stop opposite the pier and can hear all the "pretty young things" returning home about 2am, they sound like they had a good night out.
I was there on Saturday, visiting my Grandparents who were there on holiday. It is perfect for them as the whole town seems geared towards the older generation. It's very pretty, the council obviously take great pride in the flowers and cleanliness.

Myself and my boyfriend liked the town, but we went down the road to Brighton for the night after saying goodbye to my grandparents, as it has a lot more to offer us (were both late 20's).

If you like crown green bowls, hondas and biscuits, you'll be fine.
