I have just got spent the bank holiday weekend in Cornwall. We stayed in Padstow, which was a very cute fishing village. It was completly over-run with tourists. There was people like us who stayed there, and then they were bused in from about 10:00.
We also went down the coast to Newquay. It is surfing oirentated. There are a lot of bars and clubs. If you went there for a holiday and didn't surf, you could still have a decent holiday. There were some nice beaches.
Holiday's in Cornwall seem to be reliant on the weather.
We were glad of our choice of staying in Padstow and going on a day trip to Newquay.
We looked at getting the train to Cornwall, and the cost was 250 per person. So we drove down from London. As it was bank holiday, I was expecting a nightmare. It took 4 hours, which I thought was pretty good.
We looked at flights as well, but they were as expensive as the train.
