yes - I hope so too - explain to the front line just how much pain you are in and that you can't even walk out of your apartment never mind the street....and that you came within an inch of calling 111 this morning....and that you will need a pain consultant to come to you.
Question Author
thanks both of you... it means a lot
Emmie, are you using crutches?
Question Author
morning Puzzled
Question Author
no i don't have any, i have a walking stick which doesn't help much.
If the problem is with one knee, maybe crutches would help as you would be able to take the weight off of the bad knee
Question Author
i am in acute pain in the left leg/knee have no idea where one gets crutches, especially as i can't get out....
Regular painkillers (paracetamol x 8 a day and/or ibuprofen 400mg three times a day) is a good start. Using crutches x 2 while walking will relieve some of the pressure/pain.

morning bednobs

am taking a prescribed med dihydocodiene two tabs every 4 hours, which doesn't help, except to make me sleepy.
Question Author
have tried a variety of tablets, paracetamol don't help nor ibuprofen. which i have taken.
Could try phoning gp about crutches, ask if some could be brought round to you. Think you would need instructions on how to best use them.
Question Author
had thought to ask GP about crutches...
Go on, I would!
Question Author
i will do that, they open shortly....
I’m off out now, will check back in later!
Question Author
thanks puzzled, talk later
hi emmie, i would suggest then taking full dose of paracetamol, plus full dose of Dihydrocodiene in a day - paracetamol has an affinity with opioids, and they can both make each other work better.
