I need a portable monitor to be able to access documents on my work desk top which I now have at home. Can anyone recommend a cheap basic monitor for me to do this? I will not have to work from it for hours - all I want to do is access documents. I have looked online but do not recognise any of the makes of the portable monitors - all I can see is that the majority of them are geared up to be used for gaming. Can anyone recommend a portable monitor please? Any suggestions gratefully received. Many thanks in advance.
No specific size in mind - small as possible - ? 15-17 inches, No need for HDMI connection. All I need is something basic/easy to set up to be able to access the desk top. I won't need to sit and type for ages at it - it's literally just to be able to access documents.
This is just about the cheapest out there but it only has VGA connectivity. ( a VGA lead is nearly as much)You need to check what outputs for images you have available.
My two favorite portable monitors are the HP ZR2240w and the Samsung S22C300H . These monitors use LED backlighting which makes them as bright as an LCD monitor (usually), but a whole lot more power-efficient. I can run my HP for about 30 hours on a single 9-volt battery. They also have very good color reproduction, and both of them have a built-in 3-port USB hub with a combined total of 4 USB 2.0 ports.
