I Wonder If The Russian Military
are planning a military coup? It would get rid of Putin, put their own people in charge and hopefully bring some stability back. I am sure it would be supported by many including all the oligarchs who must be steaming about the sanctions affecting their businesses and finances.

But I think we should just tone down a little the successes of crippling Russians finances on TV, and speeches of success in the war its self. We are dealing with a loony here, and the more it appears we are bragging, this loony could get very hot under the collar. The powers that be should just get on with what they need to do, without the need to let Putin know everything. That seems to be the way he works. Bragging just makes mad people even more mad. Just my take on things at the moment. We have a habit on our TV networks to keep repeating the same news over and over.
Like Atheist and youngmafbog I am very cautious about the idea of a military coup. Putin is a KGB man born and bred and we don't know who is behind him. Coups have a nasty habit of going very wrong.
No-one ever managed to get rid of Lenin - or Hitler and the attempts only made things worse.
I can't believe that if Putin received a lethal bullet all will be sweetness and light.... bloodthirst chaos if more likely to reign widely and the madness would spread to those troops in Ukraine.
Sorry to sound to negative, an easy solution would be lovely.
