All those who loved to follow the fortunes of Ragnar and his family through 5 series of Vikings, might like to know that Netflix are now showing a series called Vikings; Valhalla. It is set 100 years on from the Lothbrok era and is based upon the aforementioned series. I have watched 3 episodes so far and while i don't think it's as good as Vikings, it does promise to be a decent watch.

Thanks Ken. We will watch that, we loved Vikings.
I was more vested in the characters in Vikings than this lot, but I've put that down to 5 series of getting to know them, so to speak.

It was a decent enough watch, but I feel more could have been made if each episode had been written and directed by the same writer and director. However, I'm still splitting hairs, I wouldn't mind a second series (or more :-) )
binged watched it all ,like you i found it worth watching but not as good as Vikings .Looking forward to series 5 of the last kingdom x

Series 2 of Vikings; Valhalla has been filmed and is currently being edited. In all, 24 episodes were commissioned so there will mist likely be a 3rd series, too. The intention is to take the story right up to the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066.

Coincidentally, i checked The Lost Kingdom just tonight to see if anymore series had been made. Was beginning to think no more would be forthcoming but having read mallyh's comment above, i've just Googled to discover series 5 is due out next month. Having read all the books, i am really looking forward to it.
