was a comedian right up until a few years ago who had amassed a large following on social media. Events in Ukraine suddenly escalated back then when he seemingly decided to throw his hat in the ring when the president fled to Russia. I all happened so quickly that it was hard to take it in.

I think it's gone past clown or comedian in the UK. Laughing stock would seem more appropriate were it not so serious now.
As a leader Johnson is an embarrassment.

The ultimate clown of a PM is Justin Trudeau. Do any of you remember seeing pictures of him and his family all dressed up in Indian garb on their trip to India a few years ago? He gained the name Mr. Dressup in Canadian and some international papers for his stupid clothing and antics. Guess who gave him that name?...Me! The Deputy Editor of the Toronto Sun is a good friend of mine, and while having a few drinks in a local bar I suggested that name for Trudeau, and the next day there was the name in headlines.

I thought he looked quite dishy, Sanmac but appreciate why locals criticised him for overdoing what they considered "fancy dress" and that's fair enough.
Maybe seen as a bit like Johnson arriving here and dressing as a Leprechaun or Jean Butler in Riverdance....though that wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Still....I'd swap Trudeau for Johnson in a heartbeat.... :-)
