Visas For Ukrainians

What are your thoughts on how the UKs response for visas for Ukrainian refugees is being processed? I know we have to maintain UK security but is the pace too slow? 50 visas have been issued so far. Are there visa requirements for other European countries?

50??? I thought it was 250 but still. However, given that it is Government, they need time to crank up their services and security - Ben Wallace spoke very well on R4 this morning about this and how the Gov. departments were working together to up the ante. In short, they need to get clearance points in Calais (keep out the rest)...and also Poland, Romania and the other Eastern EEC members.

As long as when they arrive in Calais the promised help really is available, DT.
They could just be met by three men eating crisps and chocolate and be told they could have an appointment in Paris in nine days time.
