I have a bathroom with a shower bath and instead of letting out a basthful of water, I leave the plug in and use a 2 litre plastic jug to flush the wc which is within reach without having to step aside. I live alone so this is not a problem. I have a wc downstairs as well but flush that in the usual way.
We do the same, except we fill a small bowl to flush the loo. It's surprising how soon we use up the bath/shower water. I reckon we've saved a fortune over the past twelve years.
I'm on a meter and I do the same. In summer before washing up, I put a bucket under the hot tap to carch the water before it turns hot. It's amazing how much there is.
We’re the same as davebro, pay way less now, on a meter, than 20 years ago.
We didn’t change our usage at all when we had the meter fitted. I really couldn’t be done with the faff of ‘saving’ water and will only do so if there’s a drought and we’re asked to.
