It is to my eternal regret, my lord, that - even though I like all animals - I could never take an animal into my humble dwelling. My busy life means that I am unable to give a living creature the care and attention that it would deserve. If circumstances dictated otherwise, however, I could, possibly, perhaps, at some stage, take in a cat, but a very well-behaved cat, and one that would not place too many demands upon my time. The list of creatures that you are very fond of is certainly impressive, and I admire your - er - taste, but I have one earnest request; please do not move into the mansion that is near mine. I wish you well.
