Oh there are many. However I'll chose this one ( for now )because it reminds me of a golden era in my life and a certain lovely girl that I knew at that time.
Another killer. I again bought her first album Aretha Arrives back in the 60s, then grew out of it a bit. This came along in the early 70s to remind me and fitted right in with what was "happening" then. The nearest a woman ever got to being a female Marvin Gaye.
I mentioned Neil Young earlier and in 69 I had been in Wales for 12 months and it looked like I was staying. I had mates from Stoke that used to come for visits when the sun was shining and a *** up was the order of the day. This album was another that I bought because we all had tuned into Buffalo Springfield and subsequently Neil Young. I remember sitting in the Schooner in Rhyl with the daft beggars and they all sang this at the top of their voices to take the mick out of me. Much to the bemusement of everybody else there. Still makes me smile and I even had a T-shirt printed with "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" on the front that I wore for years.
