What is the tallest tree in the U.K

A Douglas Fir in Reelig Glen near Inverness. It's called 'Dughall Mor' which is Gaelic for 'Big Dougal'.

A tree in Wales claimed the title, but that was going by a previousely stated height of the Inverness tree, which hadn't been measured for a few years. Big Dougal was subsequently re-measured, and found to be still the tallest at a shade over 64 metres.

I don't know how tall they are but there are some giant redwood (sequoia) trees in the woods in Ivybridge, South Devon. They may have been planted by American servicemen in the second world war as there were some stationed round there. They even had a swimming pool in the woods which you can still see (but no longer swim in).
