Surely, gravy is a personal matter, and is designed by the user (or, the consumer) to suit their taste, is it not? A noble personage, as your good self, is doubtless able to define what proper gravy should be, and should be able to direct his kitchen staff accordingly. As to the matter of eating Brussels sprouts without proper gravy, that, also, must be a matter of personal taste and style. I feel that you, noble lord, may trouble yourself unnecessarily in this matter, and should not concern yourself with lawful and unlawful when the matter of Brussels sprouts and gravy comes into question. You may, of course, wish to take up this subject at your London club, but that, I humbly suggest, is a private matter and could be kept within the club's four walls. I wish you well, noble lord.
