I have had blood tests for various things, one of them being inflammation, I take Naproxen for this, so surely if its doing its job properly, no inflammation should show up.

Your tests probably included an ESR and CRP. As you have been taking Naproxen your doctor will want to see the levels of the above tests returning to normal so as to see if the Naproxen is working or if further investigation/treatment is needed
