I know blood pressure is meant to be around 120/80 and a little above or below is nothing to worry about, but how low is too low - I am about 117/50 and not feeling so good.

I have a cold at the moment, does anyone knows if colds alter blood pressure? If so do they increase or decrease? my blood pressure is normally quite low, but not this low.

Thanks

The 50 is a bit low, in my opinion (I'm NOT a Doc) - I'm only comparing it with my own (116/72).

Don't know how a cold affects it, but it does depend on the time of day, what youre doing etc.

I would say if it stays that low for a while I'd pop along to the docs.

Have a look here - its got a list of symptoms & causes.

The main thing is a feeeling of dizzyness/light headedness and possibly fainting, especially if you stand up quickly etc

A xXx
