Scottish Power Falsified Customer`s Consent To Install Smart Meter
6 Answers
Today I received a text message and an email Saying thank you for making an appointment to install the smart meter on (date and time).
This is out of the blue as I had not made any appointment to fit a smart meter when I am always against one fitted.
I believe this is the latest tactics employed by Scottish Power. They can turn up with the meter, but my garage door won't be open for them.
Had anyone got this self invited meter installation text or email ?

My friend had this happen to him by Scottish Power a while back. They sent him a letter to say thank you for joining them from BG when he had done no such thing. They said that they had written confirmation that he had signed up with them from one of their doorstep people so he asked them for proof of it which they sent to him. He then wrote back to say that it was nice of them to send someone out to visit him when he was on holiday in the States as he wasn't in the country on the day it was signed. They then had to change him back with a bit of compo.
