P45 help needed

My son has left his old job for a new one and is at prestent trying to get his old employer to give him a P45 (& his wages.) Can anyone tell me where he can go to get help or how the law stands on this, his old employer is not answering his phone calls.

he doesn't need a P45, just go to the new employer with the last payslip. All a P45 does is to tell the new employer the position so far in the tax year. the last payslip will have that up to the last complete month. It's not as good as a P45 but the new employer won't be far off.
If he has unpaid wages he needs to go to an Employment Tribunal. But there is a grievance procedure he has to go through first (in writing) with the ex-employer. He should see the Citizens Advice Bureau for info about this. There is a short time limit so don't delay.

Unfortunately he dosen't have a recent payslip. this is why he left because he wosn't getting paid and when he did he did'nt get a pay slip

He just needs to ask his new employer for a P46, he can then complete this and give it back to his new employer.
