He certainly was! Saw Rush many times - they never disappointed, even though Geddy couldn't really hit the notes from the late 80s.

I never got to see Rush live.. but watched many drum solo's etc.. and picked up (Not stole) a few little technique's back in the day.

Shame. Neil's solos were incredibly musical, lyrical almost, and he had a myriad of techniques up his sleeve. One of the greats.
