If you're using the term 'Fire Stick' as it should be used (since it's a registered trademark that's owned by Amazon), there are only Amazon products to be considered. The basic model is this one, which has full functionalit y but the remote can't be used to adjust the volume on your TV. (You'd need to use your TV's own remote control to do that):...

If you want to be able to control your TV with the Fire Stick's remote control, moved up to this model:

If your telly is a top-of-the-range model, with a 4K 'Ultra HD' display, you probably need this Fire Stick:

If, though, you've used 'Fire Stick' as a generic term (in much the same way that people refer to 'Sellotape', even when their sticky tape is actually made by a completely different manufacturer), you might also want to consider Roku devices. See here:

Hi Jennyjoan.
As far as using the Firestick's apps are concerned, there's no difference between the two devices that you've referred to. However the more expensive model has a remote control that can pair with your TV, so that you can adjust the volume with it. The remote control for the 'Lite' version doesn't have that ability, meaning that you have to reach for the TV's own remote control to change volume.
