Sweden ... not usually given to riotous protest. The last "Swedish" one that is recorded was in 1838 when a Liberal( always were trouble) reporter was convicted of libelling King Charles in what are now called the Rabulist riots.( I want a riot of my own)
The new and exciting additions to the populace have improved this sorry state of social torpor and we have seen much improvement in the readiness of the "working man"(and woman ... and don't know) to indulge in sharing their emotional imbalance. Husby 2013 was quite diverse with Somalis, Eritreans, and Iraqis joining hands and passing the ammo. Rinkby in 2010 narrowed the paticipants to mainly muslim team members. The latest half hearted effort shows that the indigenous people of Sweden have some catching up to do if they mean to "hold their own".

To be honest I'm surprised its taken this long for the Swedes to kick off. And other countries.

Naomi's said it really. I saw a book-burning in Bradford - Muslims burning a huge pile of Salman Rushdie's book. It was horrible, basic and terrifying to watch. Completely alien. So I don't condone book burning.
But ....... the Swedes are suffering for their tolerance. Their very accepting attitudes has caused this intolerance. That's not to blame them, only to be saddened that they now know what other cultures have discovered. I fear that their philosophy of life is gone forever, as have those of many other countries. No wonder people fight a rearguard action.

The thing about the restrained and moderate is that you never hear from them because they're too busy being restrained and moderate.

It's the tiny number of dikcheads that always cause the trouble.
